Update 8-13-11

  • Yesterday, Warren got his own wheelchair and spent some time learning how to transfer in and out of bed. Then he went exploring around the building with Henley and found a nice garden outside to relax in, next he came back up to his floor for occupational therapy involving lots of stretching of his muscles. The Shepherd Center is being very considerate of all the pain Warren has been having, which is due to both of the surgeries, a cross-country flight, two ambulance transfers and mainly the removal of his rib. Warren was a trooper in getting in and out of bed and into the wheelchair, and was a bit unsure because of all of the pain, but politely did all that the nurses asked of him, and they were all very impressed with his strength. Each day we are all learning more and are all very anxious for some of his pain to subside so that he can really show what he is made of.
  • The bracelets have been a HUGE success!  We are out of stock but have an order of 600 coming next week.  If you ordered bracelets please be patient they will be sent just as soon as we get them.  Please keep those orders coming!  The clip from The Today Show is proof of how we can get the word out about Warren.  Thank you Carter & Sean for keeping us supplied with bracelets!

As always, thank you so much for your donations, emails and words of support.  You have no idea how much it means to Warren and our family.  Have a wonderful weekend!
